I got a call yesterday from my friend Jim, who was healed a few weeks ago (See Yard Sale Miracle), that his son was having seizures and headed to the hospital. So I went there and here's what happened:
-His son Jimmy was in and out of awareness when I got there, not making any sense. Prayed for a few minutes and before I left he asked his Dad to get him a Doctor Pepper. A little better.
-Saw Jim's dad had two hearing aids and prayed with him a few times. He felt some stuff going on but no immediate results.
-Found out that one of the family in waiting room had cancer so I tracked him down and found out he had stage 3 leukemia. I told him I had good news for him, prayed with him and said "Leukemia, go!" He said "That was really strange, while you were praying I could smell this terrible smell like poison or ammonia coming out of my nose." I asked him to get up and walk around and he said he felt stronger and "rejuvenated."
-About that time I saw a girl with a knee brace on and I had a Rhino (the obviously spirit filled hamster from Bolt) moment and thought "Let it begin...let it begin!" because I KNEW she was going to be healed. Sure enough, i told pain and arthritis to go, she pulled the brace off and walked around with no pain. Completely healed.
-A guy then had his son tell me about some anger problems he has been having, so I took his hand, invited God's presence and told anger to go. The kid was speechless for a moment and said his entire back felt cold. Then his dad proceeded to tell me how he is hungry to see God move and wants more of God in his life, so we swapped contact info to stay connected.
-Found out later that Jimmy, the kid who was having seizures, was sitting up, asking to watch ESPN and eating Gold Star Chili...pretty much back to normal.

Healed of osteoarthritis pain
During the outreach time of an Urban Missionary Training (UMT) at Northgate Church of Atlanta (www.ngca.org) last weekend I had the opportunity to see God heal several people, the most dramatic of which was a lady with osteoarthritis, Crohn's disease, diabetes, and a nasty hernia.
Caroline told us that her pain was a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10, she couldn't walk or stand up without pain, couldn't bend over, and couldn't bend her knees. Nate, a very bold 13 year old, and I told her that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand (Matthew 10:7) and that there is no pain in the Kingdom. We held her hands and prayed with her, invited God's presence, and a few minutes later she had NO PAIN in her body. She was able to bend over and almost touch her toes, bend her knees, and walk with absolutely no pain. There were two people in the room shaking their heads saying, "She couldn't do that before."
We prayed a few more minutes and she said she felt heat all over her chest and that her hernia was now smaller. Nate asked if she had used a walker or a cane and if we could have it and display it as a trophy of God's healing power, but she said she wanted to keep it and testify to others about what God has done for her.
There were about 100 people from the UMT that went out that afternoon all over the city of Atlanta and came back sharing testimonies of blind eyes being opened, pain disappearing, depression lifting...the usual stuff that happens when the authentic gospel of the Kingdom is preached and demonstrated.

Yard Sale Miracle
Jim came to my wife's yard sale today on a walker and I asked him what was going on. He had not walked since March, had suffered from mini-strokes and migraines, and the doctors said he suffered from "intermittent cerebral ischemic attacks" for which he was now heavily medicated. That sounded like the work of the devil to me, so I told him God could heal him and asked if I could pray with him. He said he used to be an evangelist, but his condition kept him from ministering.
So we went to his van, I declared the Kingdom of God to be at hand, invited God's presence to rest on him and after a few minutes he said the pain in his head was almost gone. Prayed again for a couple of minutes and I noticed that his arm had stopped shaking. He said he felt the Spirit of God touching him so I asked how his legs were feeling and encouraged him to try them out.
He wiped the tears from his eyes, stood up outside, flexed his legs and said "I just had therapy today and I couldn't do that," took a few steps along the van and said, "I haven't been able to do this since March." Then he walked out in the yard with no help and said, "Praise the Lord!" About that time his wife came over, saw him walking without the walker and said, "Did a miracle just happen?" Jim bent over and picked up one of his seven children with no trouble, which (you may have guessed) he couldn't do before. His wife noticed that his speech was no longer slurred and his mouth was no longer drawn on one side.
He was completely and instantaneously healed...at a yard sale! Come on God!

A Divine Appointment
Here are some stories from a recent Friday night outreach:
-Four of us met to pray before going out and I got a word of knowledge/image in my head of a large white Ford van.
-We met up with a family we know and prayed with a young lady who had a miscarriage a week earlier. God gave her some words of encouragement, brought some emotional healing about shame, guilt and blame, and afterward she "felt a lot of relief."
-While that was going on, two of our team prayed for her husband, who got noticeably touched by God...even got a little woozy.
-Prayed with another lady who has dealt with a loss of her adult child recently, and she was touched by God and started crying. We got some words of knowledge about back pain and depression while we prayed, and afterward she said "I don't know how you knew about that stuff, but it's true." I told her we had been reading her mail. We invited the kingdom to come, afterward she said she felt "something lift off" her, and her breathing felt better.
-After walking that street, we went to another street and saw a white van in a driveway. We decided to go after the word of knowledge I received earlier, and walked up to two guys working on a boat in the yard. After some small talk we asked if anyone needed healing in the house...they looked at each other and said, "No, we're good." After pressing a little bit, one guy said "Just pray for healing." It turns out one of them had Stage 2 lung cancer, and had some apparently bad experiences in the church. I told him that God set him up to get healed, and we prayed over him. We'll find out the good news soon.

National Day of Prayer

As most of you know yesterday was National Day of Prayer. The first thing that comes to my mind is a question we heard people ask at Walmart, "Why cant every day be a prayer day?". Our response is, IT IS! To a true Christian every day should be a day of prayer, and here are a few examples of what ordinary Christians do when we put God and his kingdom to work in public.
Todd, Sean and I went to the local Walmart to bring the kingdom of heaven to the public to display God's healing power and the power of prayer. I arrived while they were praying for Ron, a man down on his luck. He had sore feet and back pain. A few short prayers and the back pain was gone, his feet felt better and he told us about his friend that had nothing to do with God. God then told me to anoint a pamphlet and put his name on it for his friend and I know that simple anointed pamphlet changed this man's life.
Then we had a lady who Todd spotted that was limping, after telling us she had fallen on concrete and she was worried about her wrist getting stiff, we put the kingdom on her. She instantly felt the swelling in her wrist go away, pain free movement was restored and she was about the happiest Christian I have ever met. Her sister was with her, and our old friend the Holy Ghost showed up and revealed her depression. We prayed that she would receive joy and that her family life would improve. When we were done, her face looked brighter and happy she encountered God.
Next we prayed for a young girl on crutches. She had a soccer injury and had trouble walking. We told her the kingdom of God was at hand and prayed and she walked away without those crutches. This child was the greatest experience we had of the day. Thank you Jesus!
A woman walked by and asked us if we could pray for her family to have strength over the loss of her family dog. We said sure, then she added a little detail about a major surgery she was getting ready to have. Ha, the true reason for coming over was revealed. She had a thyroid that was going to be removed, but I believe when she goes for preop that they will do no surgery.
It was nearing the end of the day and things had slowed down, so I gave one of those quick prayers, "Ok God its almost time to go, give us one more good one to end on." Well he sure heard the prayer. Two minutes later Todd spotted a woman with a full length back brace. I looked up and said, thanks God. God relieved back pain in a women that had degenerative discs and her pain went from an 8 to a 4 and she realized she was touched by God. She said she didn't expect God to show up at Walmart and heal her back pain, she walked in for eggs and came out with the kingdom of heaven.
Overall it was a wonderful day, we prayed for people, God moved and people's lives were dramatically changed. Just think if every Christian, took just one day to do God's true work that he has commissioned us to do. The face of the earth would never be the same. It would give new meaning to the term Global Warming!
